If you've ever wondered how to become financially free then go get T. Harv Eker's Free 30-page report - Get Hardwired for Success.

http://www.peakambassador.com/cmd.php?af=mmi266&p=1

T. Harv Eker says, winning the money game and becoming financially free boils down to 3 things:

1. The right knowledge at the right time.

2. The right vehicles at the right time.

3. The right you... all the time.

In this free report you'll find out how to jump start your wealth starting today.

You can get it here:
http://www.peakambassador.com/cmd.php?af=mmi266&p=1

We can think we can rely on corporate America, or Wall Street, or on the government, but in reality most people have come to the conclusion that they can really only rely on themselves.

The question is, do most people have the skills to be able to build wealth and financial freedom for themselves and their family?

Here's how to change that:
http://www.peakambassador.com/cmd.php?af=mmi266&p=1

P.S. Please pass this email on to those that you think would like to know the #1 obstacle that keeps most people trapped in a position of financial mediocrity - or even failure!

I love learning. It may have helped that I was a pretty good student in school but you needn't have been in order to keep learning. On my commutes (when I am not riding my bike) I am always reading something or listening to an audio. The majority of what I read is personal development, business-related or computer programing.

Just by doing that...I give myself a head start from the masses.

Did you know?

1/3 of high school graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives.

42 percent of college graduates never read another book after college.

80 percent of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year.

70 percent of U.S. adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.

57 percent of new books are not read to completion.

70 percent of books published do not earn back their advance.

70 percent of the books published do not make a profit.

On the other hand, according to Brian Tracy, reading a book a week in your chosen subject for 7 years will make you an international expert. That may seem like a long time...but if you are going to be in the industry anyway...why not become and international expert.

Also, after even a year...you actually know more than most people and some of those people will pay for your knowledge. You are going to be a year older anyway...you might as well learn some more.

Besides books, in the past couple years I have discovered seminars. I used to think...I can just read a book and learn it all (that's largely how I made it through school...didn't pay much attention in class but learned through the books).

Then the problem is....many books had exercises that "I would get to later" and later would never come. Experiential seminars give you the time and space to do the exercises and really make a difference.

It's ok to read books over again, and listen to seminars over and over again. As we grow and learn...we are in a different place and pick up new things each time.

If you don't grow...your income cannot grow. You have to become a bigger person for your income to get bigger.

Keep growing!

I think it was the Verizon commercial that said, "Make Progress Every Day." After learning what I did from the Internet Marketing seminar I have committed to making progress everyday.

The recommendation was to work on your website for at least 1 hour a day. They allowed us start slowly...30 minutes/day for the first week and 45 minutes/day for the second. Which is a great suggestion to help people get into new habits.

As a personal trainer, I would often recommend doing 15 minutes of exercise everyday initially, just to get someone in the habit of exercising (and not making it too painful). Who can't make 15 minutes available to move their body?

Today was a busy day...talked with the family (teenagers often have challenges), caught up on CSI (we can't be all work and no play), took a bike ride and then I was tired.

I sat down at the computer and I just wanted to play on Facebook. I go and tell my husband...I don't feel like doing my hour today. He suggested...why don't I write about that. Bells go off...and here I am. Though, I did officially de-commit from the full hour and committed to at least 30 minutes.

The interesting thing is...once I get started I usually keep going. That happened a lot during the first two weeks when I was committed to doing less than an hour. (That may or may not happen today...I'll let you know.)

Even if all I did was the 30 minutes...I still made progress today. As long as you are making progress toward your goals...you will get there eventually. Everything takes as long as it takes. Don't compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to yourself yesterday...did you grow? ...did you make progress? ...are you closer to your goal?

If you can answer, yes to those questions...then you succeed today. Celebrate that success. You (and me) should celebrate all of your (our) successes...even if they seem small at the time. Small successes add up.

(I'm 15 minutes in...maybe I should write slower )

In the world of marketing, your niche is that unique corner of the market place that belongs to you. It is the people you serve, their problems you help solve plus your unique solutions to these problems, all rolled into one. In my work with women small business owners I am strongly in favour of niching the small business and operating as a specialist. Following are 7 reasons why:

Niching fosters expertise. It allows the small business owner to focus on a clearly defined group of people with clearly defined problems, creating their own unique solution to these problems. This specialization fosters expertise. Expertise allows the business owner to intimately understand their people, problems and solutions and become highly effective, providing increasing value. Expertise also opens the door to media attention, further business opportunities, attracts clients and commands higher fees. Everyone loves an expert and would favour them over a generalist due to their high level of specialization, knowledge and experience.

Niching allows for more focused, targeted and therefore more effective marketing for the small business owner. This increased focus and targeting means the entrepreneur is better able to communicate with and gain the trust of their target market, since they have a more intimate knowledge and experience of their needs.

Niching makes marketing more cost-effective for the small business owner. Rather than mass-marketing to everyone and connecting with no one in particular, the niched business can direct their budget at the segment of the market that is most likely to need what they offer. With a niche you know where your customers are, what they want and how they want it, making for cost-effective delivery.

Niching makes product or service development easier and more economical. Research can be directed at specific people and problems, resulting in targeted solutions for those who need them.

Niching allows the business owner to build a recognizable brand which its target market can come to know, like and trust. This makes marketing more effective and facilitates more sales, essential for the well-being of the business. Also, with a recognizable brand the business is able to stand out and build brand loyalty in the market place.

Niching allows the business to become client-attractive. You become known for and distinguished by your expertise. This means your target market knows exactly what you do, who you help and your differentiating factors. They are then able to recognise themselves as people you can help, so they come to you, quite often pre-sold. And because they understand what you do, they are able to tell others about you. Therefore, niching can help you build your own unpaid sales force, advocating for you in the market place.

Niching strengthens the business against competition. They may be in the same line of business as you and even serve the same target market. However, with your own clearly defined corner of the market place you become the only fish of your kind in the pond! With a niche you have your unique difference and expertise which means you have something to offer that your competitors do not.

Finding a niche is so important. Being a big fish in a little pond is far more effective than a little fish in a big pond.

A funny story about this happened to me on the New York City subway. I got on the train to go home from work. I usually read or listen to something educational.

This time I was reading Blair Singer's book "Sales Dogs" and it got these two guys attention. The one asked me what a 'sales dog' was. I had just started the book so I answered based on what I knew from taking a training with Blair. We chatted a little and then he said...that he's not supposed to sell in the subway, so he's not trying to sell to me but showed me a portfolio of shots and magazine articles of him skateboarding. Then asked me if I wanted to buy his video. (Sure he wasn't trying to sell me .)

As an entrepreneur, I love to see the entrepreneurial spirit in others. But I am not a skateboarding fan and I am pretty sure I didn't look like one. And unless he was Bam Margera (who I think is hot...shhh don't tell my husband) I wasn't going to buy any skateboarding paraphernalia.

I told him, "I'm not your target market." Then he says of course I am...he target market is intelligent, a few other positive adjectives, etc. I laughed. Then he told me if that was what I was learning from the book, I shouldn't read anymore. (Wow...no one ever got dumber from reading.)

Then his friend went to explain how he sell tons of stuff in NYC which is the toughest market. I don't doubt he has some success. Clearly, he has a portfolio. I mean that sincerely. The attitude, I have a problem with is that because he has had some success...he doesn't need to learn any more. He knows everything and won't listen to anything that is counter from what he thinks he knows.

I thought it was a shame. Here is a successful person...who potentially could achieve much greater success if he was willing to learn more.

If you're not growing...your dying. Continue to grow!

Here are the best ways to make money from your website:

Affiliate products - recommend products you like

Sell ads

Google adsense (or similar)

Paid forum

Membership site

Sell products

Let's talk a little more about each of these:

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is one of the easiest ways to get started. See the previous article for more information.

Sell Ads

This can be trickier and requires you to be able to justify someone paying for ad placement on your site. In order to do this you generally need to have a large amount of regular traffic. This would be one of the last things I would consider doing.

Google Adsense

Sign up for a Google Adsense account. Follow their directions and they will provide some code that you can put into your website. You can make a few cents per click. It adds up slowly until you have decent traffic. It is simple and you can set it and forget it.

Paid forum

Set up a forum make it private and charge for it. This works well if you have a lot of customers or fans from your existing offline business and they want to be able to interact with you and each other more. Because the forum isn't public members are more likely to be open and helpful to each other. Working together they can achieve more.

Membership Site

A forum is the simplest membership site. Another type of membership site has exclusive content that only members see. This works well if you have very proprietary content or can get a group of related writers to produce content. The content must be better than they could get for free. The ability to ask you direct questions can be valuable if your time is limited.

Selling Products

This could be anything. Do you have products related to your offline business? Do your clients ask you the same questions over and over? My favorite is information products because they are so inexpensive to reproduce (after the initial investment of time) and they get such a high return.

Information products could be completely downloadable (in that case your costs are negligible to deliver) or shipped. There are so many formats, here is just a sampling: home-study course, e-books, special reports, kits, tele-seminar series, webinars, DVDs, videos, etc.

One of the best ways to start making money on a website is with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is when you recommend products from another person's website and if the visitor you send purchases something you get a percentage of the purchase. This percentage varies depending on the product and is higher for downloadable products.

As you can see from my other website, MetamorFitness, I now have links and ads to supplements from Prograde. If you buy through my links, I will get a commission.

In this case, I have been a Prograde affiliate for quite some time and have already made small amounts of money from it. I had the Prograde ads on the old version of the MetamorFitness site...but since I wasn't actively updating or going after web traffic it was never consistent. This changes now.

Remember, your reputation is important, so only recommend products that you stand behind. In this case, I use the Prograde supplements myself and I know the people who created the company. Never recommend something solely for the money.

The great thing, is most products with a good affiliate program will have ready made ads, articles and emails to help you market their products. This makes your job easy...all you have to do is copy their emails and links and put your affiliate link into it. Some even set it up to give a copy with your affiliate link in it already. Then you just copy it exactly and put in your website. They want you to succeed because it helps them succeed.

Your affiliate link, is how the company identifies that you sent them the business. Usually the link will look something like this: http://www.goodproduct.com/id=12345 and the number 12345 represents your affiliate id. Sometimes it looks like this http://yourid.goodproduct.com/ and yourid is how they identify you.

The first way is more common. The second way is actually how Prograde works. It works this way because the visitor can go to other pages on the site and Prograde still knows that they are coming from me.

Where do you find affiliate programs?

A good place to start for only downloadable products is Clickbank . If you focus on the top sellers in your topic it will help to get a bigger bang for your buck. Because it means that they convert more traffic. Convert means...turning a web visitor into a customer. Most of these products will also have ads and emails you can use.

You can also do a search for your topic plus affiliate. You can check out websites that you purchase products from and see if they have an affiliate program. The link to their affiliate program is often at the bottom of their site.

In short, yes.

Let's define a few things, a blog is simply a type of website in which the home page shows a history of posts (or articles) usually showing the most recent first.

This means every time you post the home page is updated. This is good because search engines like this. And since search engines (like Google, Yahoo, Bing) help you get traffic (web visitors), you want your website to do things that the search engines like. What good is a website that has no visitors? Well for making money, it is not useful at all.

When you just naturally provide content frequently the search engines will send you organic traffic. Organic traffic is the opposite of paid traffic. There are ways to pay in order to get traffic and they can be very expensive if you don't know what you are doing. I currently don't...so I am not using it.

Blogs make updating your website easy. You don't have to know what HTML is. (HTML what your browser interprets in order to display each website.) You don't even have to have access to the files on your web server. (The web server is just a computer attached to the internet that has some special software that allows it to 'serve' up web pages).

I am a programmer...and I think blogs make it easier to set up a content-rich website. Content-rich is important, again for the search engine but also for your visitors if they like what you have to say they will come back and invite others. Having a website that visitors stay a while and come back frequently is called "sticky". You want to make your website as sticky as possible.

The reason the blog is easier for me as a programmer is because some other programmer already created most of the features I need. Why reinvent the wheel?

Yes! A blog IS the best website.
